KINONA – Shaping the Future of Women’s Golf Apparel

In Hawaiian, the word KINONA means shape, and that’s what these products do: enhance a female golfers’ shape.

If you’re a female golfer who loves fashion, KINONA may be a brand you are not aware of but should be. KINONA is made for women golfers, by women golfers. The company was founded in 2017 by Dianne Celuch and Tami Fujii, two friends and corporate executives-turned-entrepreneurs. They are committed to making golf fashion more accessible and enjoyable for all women by bringing chic, contemporary, and functional fashion to the fairway. After all, looking good is just as important as playing well, isn’t it?

What sets KINONA’s apparel apart is its fabric. KINONA’s Italian fabric is what sets them apart from other apparel companies. It’s a combination of ECONYL – high-quality regenerated nylon and lycra. This results in superior fit, feel, and performance regardless of body type. The collections also feature apparel that stretches, compresses, and conceals in just the right places to flatter all figures. The fabric also has great moisture-wicking, sun protection, and antimicrobial properties. Shaping details such as higher waistbands, princess seam lines, etc. are built into all their shorts, dresses, and jackets. KINONA has added several innovative features such as tee holders and back pockets. They cater to women who are 30+ years of age, not exactly supermodel material, yet are comfortable in their own skin. That said, their apparel looks good on just about any body type.

KINONA seems to be at the forefront of popularizing the resurgence of the golf dress. Their Kick Pleat Chic Sleeveless Golf Dress is a sleeveless dress with a band collar a flattering high V-neck collar, and princess seaming in all the right places. The Italian fabric drapes beautifully, creating a flattering silhouette. The sassy front kick pleat adds both function and fashion as you stroll down the fairway. The mesh shorties help provide added coverage when you’re on the green. The Kick Pleat Chic Sleeveless Golf Dress is available in sizes XS – XXL and in Navy Blue/Foulard and Watermelon Red.

KINONA’s Swing and Swish Sleeveless Golf Dress is the perfect dress for just about anything; a day on the course, drinks at the 19th hole, or whatever else the club has to offer! It’s flattering, fun, and flirty. The Swing and Swish Sleeveless Dress features UPF 50+ sun protection and a 4-way stretch to get you completely through your golf swing without any pinching or binding. The zippered placket lets you decide how much sun you get. The dress comes with mesh undershorts with leg grippers, two on-seam pockets to help keep your golf balls and markers in place, as well as built-in tee holders. The Swing and Swish Sleeveless Golf Dress is available in Navy Blue, while the Swing and Swish Skort is available in the Mediterranean Floral print as well.

An innovative design is KINONA’s Rouched and Ready Sleeveless Golf Dress. With a 1/4 zip neckline that can be worn opened or closed and the “rouching” at the bottom also allows you to adjust the length of your dress, you can change your look as you choose. KINONA’s signature mesh undershorts are also included. It’s one of the most flattering and comfortable dresses you will find. The Rouched and Ready Sleeveless Golf Dress is available in Navy Blue and Foulard.

While it may not conform to your country club’s apparel regulations, the Tee it Up Shortsleeve Women’s Golf Shirt is the perfect basic tee when you just want to wear a cute skort to the grocery store. Or for a round of golf! It’s sewn from KINONA’s 4-way stretch Italian fabric and may quickly become your go-to tees both on and off the golf course. It’s available in White. Navy Blue, and Black.

The Tailored and Trim Golf Shorts are perfect for ladies who like to feel a bit more buttoned up. The pull-on design and wide waistband create a slimming silhouette and the 8″ inseam creates the look of a classic fly-front short. The seam down the front creates a lasting impression and the slits on the legs give added breathability and freedom of movement. The Tailored and Trim Golf Shorts are available in several solid colors and prints including the Foulard Print, Sand, Black, and Navy/Blue.

When the weather cools down you want to stay warm without sacrificing style and looks. KINONA has a couple of pieces that will help you do just that. Their Layer Up Golf Jacket is perfect for keeping the cool weather out on those early morning tee times, or for an early morning stroll around the neighborhood. It’s sewn from KINONA’s Italian fabric with plenty of stretch to launch your drive down the fairway. The Raglan sleeves help to make mobility a non-issue and the zippered pockets keep all your valuables in place. The Layer Up Golf Jacket fits easily over any of KINONA’s tops and is available in Navy, Blue and White.

KINONA’s Apres 18 Hoodie was meant to be worn to and from the golf course. Or when you’re warming up on the range. Or out doing the grocery shopping. Or binge-watching your favorite show. Get the picture? The cozy fabric, great quality, and attention to detail are everything you would expect from KINONA. The thumbhole in the cuffs helps keep the sleeves in place for added warmth and comfort and the pockets in the front are big enough to carry whatever you need. The Apres 18 Hoodie is available in either Watermelon Red or Navy Blue.
